Write for us
Urban Football Guide welcomes considered pitches about the places, objects and habits of city football. We look for a clear question, a defined subject and an angle that helps readers notice something they might otherwise pass by.
What to pitch
Proposals may explore how a small-sided game is organised, what a pitch layout makes possible, how a piece of football infrastructure changes a place, or how a local custom gives play its character. We are especially interested in focused subjects that can be explained without relying on statistics, specialist testing or claims about an entire city.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the working idea, the question the piece will answer, why it suits Urban Football Guide and what material or knowledge you would bring. Include a few lines about your relevant experience, without overstating access or expertise. A concise, specific pitch is more useful than a complete draft sent without context.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Do not include confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted until we reply. We cannot promise publication or a response to every proposal.
